The Frauenkirche can be visited during the day (please refer to the below information). The Church is open to all and offers guided tours. Foreign language audio guides are also available for a small charge. There are several services and devotions, concerts and sacred music events, some of which are free of charge. Die Gläserne
Manufaktur (Volkswagen Transparent Manufactory)
This vehicle production site made out of
glass is situated in the middle of Dresden. It is well worth visiting this
factory to gain an insight into high-class car production of VW’s Phaeton. Individual guided tours can be booked

The current exhibition “Rome 312 –
Experience the Ancient Metropolis” invites you to travel back to ancient Rome in
the 360° panorama, an impressive circular painting. For further

Shopping:
Shopping in Dresden is varied: main shopping districts are between the Prager
Straße and the Altmarkt. The shops
around the Frauenkirche offer traditional and contemporary pieces of arts and
crafts.
Food and Drink:
The city center is full of restaurants,
wine bars and pubs and cater for a variety of tastes. A famous street for popular pubs is
Weisse Gasse.
Saxon wine is becoming more and more popular and gastronomic specialties
such as Kartoffelsuppe (potato soup) or Eierschecke (cheese cake with custard)
are worth exploring as well.
Music:
Dresden is also famous for its
relationship to music. There is
usually a festival or concert going on somewhere.
